The Reverend Audrey C. Price is an Associate Conference Minister in the Central Atlantic Conference of the United Church of Christ (UCC). Prior to her current position, Dr. Price served as the Supply Senior Minister of First Congregational United Church of Christ in Washington, DC; and previously as Interim Pastor at Webster Congregational Christian Church in Havre de Grace, MD.
Rev. Dr. Price’s service includes membership of Interim Ministry Network (IMN), an organization dedicated to the health and wellness of church congregations. She has broad experience as a Christian Educator in several denominations—Baptist, Presbyterian and UCC.
Rev. Dr. Audrey Price achieved a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) at The Catholic University of America (CUA) in Systematic Theology with a concentration in Liberation Theology. Her dissertation: Theological Aesthetics in the African American Anthropologies of Emilie Townes and Shawn Copeland. Audrey is a contributing author for Psalms 46, 50, 62, 76, 80, and 86 in Psalms 42-89, authored by Dr. Denise Dombkowski Hopkins, in The Wisdom Commentary Series (Liturgical Press, 2016). She earned a Master of Philosophy degree at The Catholic University of America, a Master of Divinity degree from Wesley Theological Seminary (Washington, DC), and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) in Huntsville, AL.
Rev. Dr. Price’s vocational call is one of Pastoral Leader and Educator. She is adjunct faculty at Wesley Theological Seminary and at John Leland Center for Theological Studies.
Dr. Price is a native of Montgomery, Alabama and has lived in the Washington DC metropolitan area for over 20 years, thereby making Northern Virginia her home away from home. In her “spare time” Rev Price indulges her passion of reading, traveling to new places, officiating basketball and her new found joy of riding motorcycles. She is married to Augustine Angba and together they have four wonderful children. Rev. Price is inspired and guided in her daily life by the following precepts:
