One church joining faith and action

Sunday sermon, Nov. 29, 2020, and the first Advent candle

Emily Dickinson called it “the thing with feathers that perches in the soul.” Today’s sermon, like the first candle of the Advent season, is about hope. Reading from the book of Jeremiah, chapter 33, Pastor Tom Hartshorn talks about how, in these difficult times, we should remember that our hope comes from God. In God, no one lives or dies alone. After the sermon, Director of Music Joey DiGuglielmo plays “Canon in D” by Johann Pachelbel, arranged by Robert Schultz. The sermon of November 29, 2020 was as uplifting as your sermons always are. When you end a talk, I always feel so calm inside and walk away with something I need to think about and/ or feel thankful.
I thank you Tom from the bottom of my heart.
The music…..oh the music was enchanting!!
