Services cancelled through Easter
West Virginia’s first case of coronavirus has been identified in the Eastern Panhandle. In order to follow medical and governmental regulations restricting gatherings for public safety, Christ Reformed United Church of Christ has cancelled religious services through Easter. This includes all Sunday worship services, all special services and Sunday school. Choir practices are also cancelled. And the Easter egg hunt being planned for April 11 is also cancelled.
For the Thursday evening Community Dinner on March 19, bagged takeout meals of the main dish and dessert will be handed out at the door.
Pastor Tom Hartshorn is available to anyone who needs or wants to talk. His number is 304-279-7332. Leave your name and call-back number if you get his voice mail. He also asks church members to pass on news to him of anyone who is sick or in the hospital.
Church members wishing to tithe may send checks to the church at: 117 East Burke St., Martinsburg, WV 25401.
Please stay safe and limit your travel. We’ll be praying that everyone in our community remains healthy.
