Light One Candle for CCAP

With the Advent season comes another opportunity to benefit our needy community members by donating to CCAP. Our church’s tradition is that, every Sunday during Advent, we sing the “Light One Candle” song and bring offerings of nonperishable food items or cash donations to the front of the sanctuary to be donated to CCAP.

Berkeley County CCAP/Loaves and Fishes provides emergency food and financial assistance to low income and underserved residents of Berkeley County. Throughout the year, our church spearheads food drives to benefit CCAP. In addition to Light One Candle, we also collect soup cans before the Super Bowl and cereal in September.

This year, the first Sunday of Advent is Nov. 28.
